Community Living Peterborough launches Home of Our Own: 100 Homes for 100 People Campaign at Market Hall with the Skydiggers
Community Living Peterborough will be hosting its third annual springtime event on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the historic, renovated, and accessible Market Hall. Tickets will go on sale in time for Christmas on Wednesday, December 14th at www.markethall.org.
The agency's former Spring Spectacular event has taken on a new format at a new venue in order to present the triumphant return of Skydiggers to Market Hall in support of Community Living Peterborough. The evening will celebrate gifts and abilities of people living with an intellectual disability during the concert, silent auction, live art auction; an opportunity to directly touch lives through Community Living Peterborough's Wish Table, and guest entertainers.
In addition to bringing Skydiggers back to Peterborough, the agency is working with mentor artists at the Art School of Peterborough, the Art Gallery of Peterborough, Crop Circles, Hues in Glass, as well as Gene Canning and Marlene Herbst to create live art auction pieces by artists supported by Community Living Peterborough.
Community Living Peterborough's Home of Our Own: 100 Home for 100 People campaign seeks to raise $5M over 5 years to find innovative housing options, including the purchasing of housing, the building of accessible housing, and the start-up housing funds for the people Community Living Peterborough supports, and their families, who are currently on our community's waiting list. The agency is committed to reducing housing wait times and increasing the quality of life for the people we support by finding them appropriate, accessible, safe housing where they can build long-term relationships and a strong sense of home.
