Artistic Vision
Later that day, Denise Wynn speckles her watercolour painting with colour as she captures the essence of fallen leaves layered on the ground. No matter what the medium is – pottery, painting, or needlework – art is a common language among all people; a tool to express ideas, hopes and dreams.
Community Living Peterborough is collaborating with the local art community and artists we support in an art auction project for our upcoming spring event featuring Skydiggers in Concert at Market Hall on April 28, 2012. Our artists are enjoying mentorship from instructors at the Art School of Peterborough, including Anne Cavanagh, Sharon Taylor, John Climenhage and the Art Gallery of Peterborough, Gene Canning, Barry Challice and Marlene Herbst to design pieces to be auctioned at the Live Auction portion during the evening of our event. We hope to see a variety of different art forms including watercolour, acrylics, photography, knitting, and more!
The art projects have been in progress through the fall and we look forward to seeing the end results of this unique mentorship.
