Friendship: a big part of our personal outcomes
May 2010 --- Towerhill, Independent Living
Frank, Russell, Greg, & Sonia share their personal outcomes news: Recently, Frank Mazza and Russell Lake both celebrated birthdays. The men wanted to continue with what has become a tradition and they got together with friends at the Carousel for a meal and a beer over their birthday weekend. The celebrations continued the following week.
Russell hosted Frank and their mutual friends one evening for more birthday cake, and a surprise cake was waiting for Russell from his friends at his cooking group.
Aside from his job, Watching Wrestling is the what he enjoys most. He is very excited to be going with friends to “Monday Night RAW” in Toronto. He is also planning on going to see “Cats” with two old and dear friends in June.
Sonia McNeil recently went to see “City of Angels” at Showplace and loved it. She was also able to share her love of music for the second year at “Juke Box Mania” a fundraiser for a local non-profit. Although a little disappointed she didn’t win any of the items she bid on at the silent auction, she had a blast! In June she and two old friends are planning on going to see “Cats” together – this will be an exciting reunion of friends she has known since her teen years.
Greg Wilson has been very busy volunteering at the Mapleridge Seniors Group on Fridays. He helps tidy up after Bingo Games and sets tables for the weekly supper. Art Classes, literacy, swimming twice weekly and having friends over for lunch help round Greg's week. The anticipated highlight of Greg’s summer is fast approaching, a summer get away by the lake in Paisley, ON.
