About The Foundation

Community Living Peterborough’s Legacy Foundation is a Board directed committee established to provide a permanent and reliable source of financial resources to people and their families of Community Living Peterborough.

The Legacy Foundation consists of  several different funds to which people can donate, which will benefit the community, and people and their families support by Community Living Peterborough.

Who We Are

We’re people that want to make a difference: Community Living Peterborough’s Legacy Foundation committee is comprised of at least eight persons appointed by the Board of Directors including, but not limited to:

•  Two persons receiving support from the Agency, or a family member
•  Four members of the Board of Directors of Community Living Peterborough
•  Two staff representatives from the Agency’s management team

Ways To Give

Supportive Housing Fund:   Provides additional supportive housing services, including the purchasing of housing and start up funds to assist people supported and their families.   

Family Capacity Fund:   Offers funds to qualifying families to allow them to continue to maintain a level of quality care for their son or daughter.  

Heritage Fund:   Provides a venue for the donor to create a lasting tribute for the agency. To receive donations of money, property and securities for use by the agency.   

Wish Fund:   Provides additional funds to assist people in service to achieve their personal outcomes.   

Community Capacity Fund:   Provides additional funds to enhance the community’s changing needs.  

Individual Capacity Fund:   Provides resources to individuals, over and above that which the Wish Fund is mandated to provide, assisting people to live a good quality of life.  Funds may be in the name of the individual recipient or in the name of the source of funding.  

Community Partners Fund:   Provides additional supports to benefit groups and partners of the agency who are contributing to the quality of life of people who live with an intellectual disability.
